The Dormer Window asks, does our creative intelligence change us? Yes.

Are our creative endeavours our best hope? Yes.

But how do we keep going when creative work is full of uncertainty, risk and discomfort? This is a place where we dig into the science and practices that wake-up and drive the creative self.

And, with new neuro imaging research, we’re only beginning to understand how it functions within us. Creativity is elusive and always pressing a person into deeper, more interesting inquiries. This is explored and celebrated in this small, quiet space.

The Dormer Window is written by, Nadia Shahbaz, an Afghan-Italian-American writer. My work has been illuminated on buildings in New York City, and published in literary magazines and news outlets.

Before writing full-time, I worked for the United Nations, CBC News, and other cool organizations that have helped me justify all of my university degrees.
